About FAWG
Frankston Amateur Winemakers Guild Inc. was officially established in 1970 by a group of people wanting to learn how to make homemade wines, liqueurs and various other beverages. It has had its ups and downs over the years, but now consists of about 100 members with a core of widely skilled and experienced winemakers, happy to share their knowledge with fellow members. The members also make accompaniments to their winemaking including bread, preserved meats, pickles, cheese, pasta, etc. - all part of enjoying the 'good life'.
We are based on the Mornington Peninsula, but have members from many parts of Melbourne and further afield. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month (excepting December) at Moorooduc Community Hall, corner of Bentons Road and Derril Road, Moorooduc.
You are welcome to attend our meetings and if you like the experience, may like to join our membership.
We also run 'Introduction to Winemaking' classes each year, if you'd like to learn how to make your own wine.
